Many guitar players get stuck in boxes while playing pentatonic scales. This one dimensional thinking has more to do with the way the material is presented. The method in this book is the one I use with my students to help them move freely up and down the neck. I hold a Master’s degree in Music Education. I have been a public school band director since 2004 and have been teaching guitar since 1997.
Step by step you will learn:
How to create a minor pentatonic scale.
Traditional minor pentatonic box patterns.
Linear minor pentatonic scales.
The Blues Scale
Relative major keys.
Individual note names without being overwhelmed with theory.
Start to improvise with backing tracks (Youtube links).
